i have a confession to make...i have terrible hands and nails, it is my secret shame. you see the thing is i have very delicate skin, it gets dry very easily and when i am stressed i get eczema around my cuticles (yuk), add to that that the damage done by (stress induced) nail-biting and it is pretty shameful. as a result of this i am always looking for hand creams/cuticle creams etc that really work. so, after some extensive testing (like years and years) i now have an absolute favorite hand cream (seriously, if you saw my yukky digits you would be excited too!) - kiehl's ultimate strength hand salve.
ok, so it is a little pricey (£14 for 75ml) but it is good stuff:
- it is rich (as suggested by the name salve), but not greasy - i want to be able to put my hand cream on while i am at my desk and be able to type moments later without leaving a greasy trail over my keyboard, and this lets me do that - total win!
- it smells good. so many hand creams smell flowery, and the ones that don't tend to be greasy, or thin and 'cheap' feeling - my hands need better, and don't want to smell like a garden! this product has a great minty smell that is just the right side of medicated (a good thing in my book).
- it feels like a treat - i'm not talking about the price tag (but at that price it is a 'treat' product), but the feel of the cream, it feels like i am looking after myself, treating my hands to something that will make them happy because the cream is just so rich and smooth.
x.

i've been using this amazing burts bees stuff but i'm not a HUGE fan of how it smells, maybe i should try this :)
ReplyDeleteThis does sound lovely, sometimes with beauty products I think 'buy better buy less' x
